Bengt Horn af Åminne combined a military and administrative career after his peregrinatio. He became president of the Svea Court of Appeal in 1674. This nomination has been described as a surprising one as Horn was generally seen to lack the qualifications for the position even if he was considered a conscientious man. Painting by A. G.
