RS 26

In Edinburgh 2 July 1629, King Charles I of England and Scotland certified the nobility of James (Jacob) and Peter (Patricius) Forbus. At the bottom of the parchment is written “Concordare cum Originalis de verbo ad verbum testamur infrascripti, juxta Supremi Iudicij, quod est Holmiae, sigillum. Anno 1634 Aegidius Girs, secretarius, Magnus Olai, Notar. Publ. Sup. Jud.” and below is the seal of the Svea Court of Appeal. The document is, according to the text, a copy of the certificate of Charles I made at the Svea Court of Appeal, but a surprisingly well made copy. A picture of the seal attached is on p. 387.
