So according to Hägerström’s analysis of Münsterberg’s standpoint, it is not only the object (the objectivity of judgments, truth, and logical consistency) that is the criterium veri determining reality itself, in addition the Beautiful, the Good, and the Absolute must be given a place in the scientist’s determination of reality. Münsterberg makes no distinction between the aforementioned standards, as to which specific epistemological priority they should have in scientific research.42 Since the investigated object itself, according to Münsterberg, lacks any form of epistemic priority in scientific investigations (be it philosophy in general or any particular form of scientific research - ethics, history, sociology, physics, chemistry, law), then the necessary corollary to his system is thus that there exists several different “truths” all having equal levels of validity.43 There is one truth for each investigation and investigator. However, if this is the case then reality ceases to be an objective category, as truth is substituted for value,44 which in turn abolishes the cognitive authority of science. However, it must be noted that not even Münsterberg’s own philosophy of values claims to posses any absolute answer in relation to these matters. Münsterberg’s philosophy does not provide any answers about the objective ought, which is the ultimate principle helping us to determine objective reality. In fact, the objective ought of Münsterberg’s philosophy is only a judgment that has a supra-individual value for the person expressing the judgment, and nothing more - in other words, sheer subjectivity.
